Control Your Fear Before It Will Control You!

Fear Factor has been one of my favorite TV shows. It highlights the courage of the participants to engage in the most fearsome and disgusting acts. Most of the contestants are willing to sacrifice their dignity for the sake of the prize money. So what does that imply. It implies that with the proper mindset, determination, and will power, you can conquer your fear. Everyone has some sort of fear. It may be brought about by any one or more of the following reasons. 1 by a traumatic past incident like being bitten by a dog 2 by the influence of other people 3 by their own negative way of thinking But are you going to let fear take over your life. Will you remain a hostage of your fear forever. You must take the necessary steps to overcome your fright. It s all in the mind. Do you envy other people when you see them enjoying wild rides, and you re just stuck in a corner because you re too terrified to give it a try. My suggestion is to face your fear head-on. Imagine yourself enjoying...

Add - Treatment Through Medication

In this third of a series of articles on ADD we re going to focus on treatments for ADD besides simple nutrition. The most common form of treatment for ADD is through medication. The underlying theory on ADD is that it is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Through certain medications we can correct that imbalance and help a person with ADD to live a normal and productive life. PET scans of patients with ADD who are taking medication for their condition show that there is significant improvement in many cases. Medication that is given to treat ADD is to stimulate the production of two neurotransmitters known as dopamine and norephinephrine. These neurotransmitters are needed to carry a nerve impulse along a neuropathway. When one of these transmitters is under supplied the message is stopped short of it s intended destination. When this happens, whatever function that circuit is assigned to doesn t work properly. Your brain circuits are like a computer circuit. They are...

What Is Sunless Tanning?

Sunless tanning is a popular way to enjoy the look of a tan without the need to go in the sun or tanning bed. There are many ways to get a sunless tan. A new form of sunless tanning has exploded over the past few years with the introduction of Automated Stand-Up Units, Airbrush Equipment and advanced Handheld Spray Equipment like the California Tan CustomBronzer Spray Tanning System. Found in professional tanning salons and spas, this equipment allows you to get an immediate sunless tanning treatment in just minutes by entering a stand-up unit or being personally sprayed by a trained technician. Another way to get sunless results at home is with a self-tanning lotion or spray often referred to as a bronzer, that can be used to deliver a sunkissed glow to your skin without going in the sun or visiting a tanning salon or spa. Self-tanners also work great to fill in tan lines or deepen an existing tan. Many years ago, the first self-tanners introduced to the market contained dyes that...

Breakfast Of Failures

If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate. Lewis The Chronicles of Narnia had over 800 rejections before he sold even one piece of writing. Oprah Winfrey was not deterred when she got fired from her television reporter s job being told, You re not fit for TV. Og Mandino The Greatest Salesman in the World had lost his family to drink and became a homeless person before becoming an inspirational bestselling author selling over 30 million books. Marie Curie, recipient of two Nobel Prizes once said, I tried out various experiments and the results were sometimes unexpected. At times I would be encouraged by a little unhoped-for success, at others I would be in the deepest despair because of accidents and failures resulting from my inexperience I was taught that the way of progress is neither swift nor easy. Bill Gates and Michael Dell were college drop-outs. Babe Ruth had more strike-outs then any other baseball player of his time. He also had the most home runs...

An Overview Of Hair Transplant

Advertisements in magazines and newspapers taken out by hair loss products and treatment centers often depict a person with a full crop of hair after the treatment. They claim miracle cures and fixes with a high chance of success. However, in reality, not everyone of you will find that you are able to get back the hair that you lost. For those in this situation and cannot bear the thought of going out hair loss, then there is always the surgical route by way of hair implants. Even Elton John had hair loss transplant done many years ago. Dermatological surgeons are the best people to consult with regards to hair transplant, as they will be taking into account of the reasons behind the hair loss, the severity of it, and also work out the natural hair line. They will also consider your expectations, situation and lifestyle. This procedure has been in place since the 1950s but has advanced considerably. Smaller plug grafts are used with microsurgery, thereby making transplants a much...
